Two-time champion reflects on his BTCC journey following a strong finish to the 2026 campaign
Tom Ingram ended the 2026 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship season in impressive form, claiming three victories across the final two events to underline his credentials as one of the series' leading contenders.
Having arrived at Silverstone with just two wins to his name, the Team VERTU driver triumphed in the final race at the Northamptonshire venue before completing a double at Brands Hatch, taking his season tally to five. The late surge provided an encouraging conclusion to a challenging title defence, with attention having already turned towards 2027.
Having made his BTCC debut in 2014, Ingram has established himself as one of the championship's most successful modern-day drivers, enjoying two title-winning campaigns whilst sitting seventh in the BTCC all-time wins list, nine victories clear of three of the sport's most celebrated names in Alain Menu, Yvan Muller and James Thompson, tied for eighth.
In an extended interview at Brands Hatch, Ingram reflects on his journey through the championship, the people who have shaped his career and his enduring rivalry with Ash Sutton, as the two-time champion looks towards his next challenge.
