NAPA Racing UK’s Dan Cammish set the pace in the sole free practice session for the British Touring Car Championship at Snetterton, three tenths of a second ahead of Team VERTU’s Tom Ingram.

Cammish hit the top of the times after 20 minutes and remained on top thereafter, improving twice more to settle on a best lap of 1 minute 55.066 seconds on his final run.

Ingram improved late on in the session, and was half a tenth ahead of EXCELR8 team-mate Tom Chilton in third.

Power Maxed Racing’s Dexter Patterson put his Audi in fourth, ahead of the leading Plato Racing Mercedes of Daniel Rowbottom in fifth.

NAPA’s Ash Sutton was sixth, having been second until late on, 0.580 seconds off the pace with the least TOCA Turbo Boost allocation by dint of leading the drivers’ championship standings.

Restart Racing’s Chris Smiley was seventh, ahead of the top Toyota of Gordon Shedden in eighth in the Laser Tools Racing colours.

The top ten was completed by Power Maxed’s Aiden Moffat and Restart Racing’s James Dorlin.

The session was extended to be an hour long to allow teams to familiarise themselves with their brakes, following a change in brake pad material prior to the event.
