EXCELR8 Motorsport has agreed a three-year extension to its title sponsorship deal with automotive retailer Vertu, with the agreement running to the end of the 2029 season.

VERTU has worked with the now-Droitwich-based team since 2021, taking up the role of title sponsor a year later.

Since then, it has twice won the BTCC drivers’ title with Tom Ingram – in 2022 and 2025 – and the team also won the Manufacturers’ title in the latter season.

The outfit, headed up by team owner Justina Williams, has emerged as one of the BTCC’s top teams in the past five years, claiming an impressive 38 victories, 29 of them with Ingram.

Team VERTU will continue to field a four-car line-up, with Tom Ingram and teenage racer Noah Young already confirmed for 2027. The remaining drivers will be confirmed in due course.

“We’re hugely proud of the strength of our relationship with Vertu, and to be able to confirm an extension to cover the next three seasons in the BTCC,” said Williams.

“Vertu has played a major role in the success we’ve enjoyed in recent years, helping us build a championship-winning programme that has delivered race victories, multiple titles and consistent on-track success.

“The security of knowing we can count on Vertu’s support through to at least the end of 2029 allows us to focus on long-term planning, and we’re looking forward to challenging for more titles alongside Vertu in the years to come.”

Robert Forrester, Chief Executive of Vertu, credited the profile of the BTCC in raising awareness of the company.

“Our partnership with EXCELR8 has delivered outstanding results both on and off the track, and has been a platform for building awareness of the Vertu brand whilst also allowing us to engage with audiences throughout the UK,” added Forrester.

“Since first joining forces with the team, we have enjoyed championship success, significant increases in brand awareness and countless opportunities to showcase the strength of the Vertu brand to millions of motorsport followers.

“This partnership works so well because of the shared drive and desire to constantly improve in order to maintain the highest levels of performance and remain at the very top.

“Extending our commitment through to the end of 2029 will allow us to build on everything we have achieved together so far, and we look forward to challenging for more success in the seasons ahead.”
